Sunny Skies & Warmer Temps

The really cold air is a thing of the past and we may not see temperatures like that again until next Winter. Highs have returned to their seasonal averages in the low 40's. That is softening up the snow in the afternoons and make for beautiful skiing weather.

The large ridge of high pressure parked along the West Coast is going to stick around for another week. We will see a carbon copy of the weather everyday through next Tuesday with sunshine and highs in the low 40's.

The second half of next week and beyond we begin to undergo some pattern changes. The ridge along the West Coast will begin to retrograde back away from the coast. At first it looks like most of the precipitation will be focused to our North in British Columbia and the Pacific NW. We may see some colder air and some light snow showers next wednesday and again Friday.

Going into the last week of the month and into the first week of February we may see the storm door continue to open. The storm track may begin to shift South down the coast bringing some bigger storms to CA.
