Beautiful Weekend

Another beautiful weekend is on tap. The mountain has a fresh base and the temps will be slightly cooler than last weekend. Overall it should make for some great skiing conditions.

Not too many changes to the forecast for next week. The ridge off the coast will move inland by Sunday and Monday warming temps into the low 50's. By Tuesday low pressure will be approaching the West Coast. Several waves will attempt to rotate inland Tuesday through Thursday but they will be pretty weak.  We could see off and on light snow showers through the period on the mountains.

By next Friday a cut-off low may be sitting off the CA coast picking up moisture. Most of the forecast models push this low slowly inland over CA next weekend. If this happens we could have a snowy weekend with over a foot of snow on the mountains.

The pattern looks to remain active into the first week of April. The GFS forecast model has some bigger storms and the Europrean model has some more cut-off lows. It is cut-off low season now, even though we have had a lot this season already. No concrete big storms in the forecast yet, but at least it looks to remain active into April.
